Jace Fogleman is a 26-year old Louisiana native. Jace’s natural talent and love of music
was apparent by the age of four. After ten years of preparatory study at the Acadiana
Symphony Conservatory of Music in Lafayette, Louisiana, he studied music at the
University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
Jace recalls early highlights: singing at Santa Susanna cathedral in Rome while traveling
through Europe; performing at Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco’s Inauguration; entertaining
his first large audience on a cruise ship at age 9; singing in an audition room used by
Judy Garland at Radio City Music Hall; saddling up to the Sardi’s piano to belt out a few
tunes; just to name a few! Never bashful and always eager to sing, he was spurred on by
his family’s abundant support.
Upon relocating to the Northwest, Jace was first noticed at an open mic night and was
approached by a local production company for a show featuring music from the ‘50s and
‘60s. He then auditioned and was chosen for roles in Spokane Civic Theatre’s productions:
“Songs for a New World” (2012) attended by the show’s NYC composer, Jason Robert Brown.
Cast in “Les Miserables” (2013) for an 8-week run, he was recalled for a revival which
included the Spokane Symphony (2014).
Classically trained and honed in Broadway musicals, yet always wanting to be a versatile
musician, Jace began to share his love of jazz and big band music by performing as male
vocalist for the MasterClass Big Band. He performs regularly with this well-respected
19-member band at notable venues in Spokane and the surrounding areas. Jace is rapidly
gaining the respect of both colleagues and audiences alike in the sophisticated artsy Northwest.
This recognition led to a recording contract with Mission Control Records with a late
‘14/early ’15 new album release.
A fierce determination drives Jace to sing independently at every opportunity: weddings,
funerals, home concerts, parties, festivals, holidays & special occasions. No stranger
to the realization that show business is tough, Jace follows his dreams and advice of
mentor Tony Bennett: “Never give up!”
